Are you ready to protect your rights and your home?
Let our voices be heard at the Capitol!
Our Legislators have been very busy during the off season, so do not hesitate to call their office,
leave a message, and engage them in conversation. They need to hear from their constituents. I am
attaching a current list of their office phone numbers, and email addresses, and asking you to make a phone
call on behalf of the *Washington Low Income Housing Alliance (WLIHA), a strong supporter of our issues.
Step #1. Ask to Leave a Message.
Step #2. Introduce yourself: if you are a constituent; you are concerned about the lack of resources available
to assist homeless families.
Step #3. WHAT TO SAY:
A. "Please hold the line on the Housing Trust Fund at $200.000 Million."
B. "The Housing Trust Fund is Washington's primary tool for ensuring access to housing for working
families and vulnerable individuals in our community, helps to employ thousands statewide and is needed now
in order to jump start our economy and to help those losing their jobs and their housing.
It was my privilege to attend on October 19-20th, the HOUSING WASHINGTON 2010
Conference in Tacoma, Wa. This is a yearly event sponsored by the Washington State
Housing Finance Commission, The Department of Commerce, and the Washington Low
Income Housing Alliance dealing with Affordable Housing in our State. It was amazing to
participate with 135 folks in making cell phone calls to our legislators offices all at once
including the Governor. We as Manufactured/Mobile Home Owners can join hands with our
partners, and also benefit in sharing our message at the appropriate time with our legislators
by this method.
Sincerely, Judith White -
